I'll be honest here, as a long term X lurker I was stumbling across fan podcast accounts after the Giannis trade and fell upon the "Bucks Suck" podcast. This of course is an old fan sided podcast curated by a formerly disgruntled Bucks Fan called @ShaftyBro. While going on and on about the massive franchise altering trade that sent out the disgruntled best player in Bucks history our host made a great point. Specifically about the local Bucks coverage. Mainly, its low energy and it sucks. This is absolutely true. As a connoisseur of content myself, and having a commute roughly 2 hours to work daily, the lack of remotely acceptable Bucks coverage represents a massive "market inefficiency". And here at Bestern Bucks, we aim to correct inefficiency!

Well my perspective friends, this begs a question: what even is good team coverage, and why do you think that you can fill the void? The first one is easy, have you Wisconsin sports fans ever listened to the Locked on Badgers host Ryan Hearings? That's good coverage. For 1, he likes the team and sport he is covering. This is a rare commodity in NBA media. And #2, he's got a niche and sticks to it. That is what we hope to do here, find our niche and stick to it.

The niche I'm try to hit here is one of more macro storytelling. NBA coverage is oversaturated with cap-jargon, people shouting about "advanced stats", and big market player movement for cheap tricks. The 2 big "holes" in every coverage is the storytelling angle and deep x's and o's dives. I am by no means an expert at the play by play trends but I am something of a unique storyteller. So here we go, throwing my hat into the scrum of making proper Bucks content. Introducing the Bestern Bucks Blog. Hope you stay tuned!
